The Federal Government has reaffirmed its dedication to removing obstacles that prevent many Nigerians from owning homes. Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, made this declaration during the launch of the Renewed Hope Housing Delivery Portal, a groundbreaking online platform designed to streamline the process of purchasing homes.
This innovative portal provides access to 100,000 housing units nationwide, a significant step towards addressing the country’s housing deficit. The government has partnered with a consortium of developers led by Continental Civil to deliver these homes, with the portal serving as a key component of this collaboration.
The platform offers a user-friendly, transparent, and secure online application process, enabling potential homeowners to search for properties that meet their specific needs. Flexible payment options, including one-time payments and instalment plans, are also available to cater to different financial situations. Additionally, buyers can apply for up to 25 per cent of their retirement savings account balance to support their purchase.
The minister encouraged all Nigerians to take advantage of this opportunity, emphasizing that the platform ensures a fair and open process, allowing anyone to own a home without relying on personal connections.
