Rivers State Swears in New Local Government Chairmen

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State will swear in the newly elected local government chairmen today at 4:00 pm. The ceremony will take place at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House in Port Harcourt.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, the newly elected chairmen and one guest each are expected to be seated by 3:30 pm.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission previously declared the winners of the local government elections. The Action Peoples Party secured a significant victory, winning 22 out of 23 Local Government Areas.

Governor Fubara’s administration moves forward with the swearing-in ceremony, marking a new chapter in local governance.
