Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has addressed the surprising decision to bench defenders Matthijs De Ligt and Lisandro Martinez for the Premier League match against Aston Villa.
Ten Hag chose Harry Maguire and Johnny Evans to start, leaving the expensive duo on the bench.
