Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has been crowned England Men’s Player of the Year for the 2023-24 season, the English Football Association announced on Tuesday.

Palmer edged out Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who finished second and third, respectively.

Since his England debut in November 2023, Palmer has made a significant impact, scoring his first goal in the Euro 2024 final against Spain and assisting Ollie Watkins’ winner in the semi-final against the Netherlands.

The 22-year-old has also impressed for Chelsea, netting 22 Premier League goals last season and six goals in seven games this campaign.

Palmer’s impressive form has earned him recognition as the top English player for the season.
