Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration has significantly boosted Edo State’s economy, growing it from N10 billion to over N25 billion within eight years. This remarkable growth has positioned Edo State as a leading economy in Nigeria.

Obaseki highlighted the state’s progress in agriculture, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors during his final statewide broadcast. The Edo State Oil Palm program allocated 120,000 hectares of land for development, with 40,000 hectares cultivated. Two modular refineries were also attracted to the state.

Infrastructure development received considerable attention, with over 850 kilometers of state roads constructed across local governments. The state now generates almost 1000MW of electricity daily. Fiber optic cables spanning 2500 kilometers have been installed statewide.

Obaseki emphasized that his administration’s achievements have transformed Edo State into an economic hub, providing a solid foundation for future growth.
