Kaduna State’s former governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused his successor, Governor Uba Sani, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu of taking actions that inadvertently empower bandits.
A recent kidnapping incident in Kagarko Local Government Area sparked El-Rufai’s comments. Over 30 people were taken hostage, highlighting the ongoing insecurity challenges in Kaduna State.
El-Rufai shared his thoughts on the matter, criticizing the approach taken by the current administration. He believes that prioritizing propaganda over effective governance only serves to embolden bandits, allowing them to acquire more sophisticated weapons.
The former governor’s allegations come at a time when many are calling for improved security measures in Kaduna State.
