Nigerian singer Falz, son of renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, has debunked claims of being pressured to study law.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Falz revealed that his father’s impactful work inspired him to pursue law.
Growing up, Falz witnessed firsthand how his father’s advocacy helped people, sparking his own desire to make a difference.
“It wasn’t pressure, but aspiration… I wanted to emulate what my father was doing,” Falz shared.
He studied law and briefly practiced for nearly two years before focusing on music full-time in 2014.
Falz’s musical career flourished, while his father’s legacy continues to inspire him.
