In a bid to revitalize Nigeria’s non-oil export sector, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is collaborating with exporters to tackle the perennial problem of food export rejections. This strategic partnership aims to identify and address the root causes of rejections, ensuring compliance with international standards.

NAFDAC and exporters will engage in a series of workshops, training sessions, and inspections to enhance product quality, packaging, and documentation. The agency will also provide guidance on regulatory requirements, while exporters will share their experiences and challenges.

This collaborative effort seeks to boost Nigeria’s export competitiveness, reduce rejection rates, and increase foreign exchange earnings. By working together, NAFDAC and exporters can identify and rectify defects, ensuring that Nigerian products meet global standards and gain greater access to international markets.
