Fubara Boasts of Achievements, Slams Predecessor’s Record

Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has taken a swipe at his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, claiming that his administration’s achievements in infrastructure development surpass Wike’s eight-year record. Fubara made this declaration while inaugurating the Andoni section of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity Road project in Andoni Local Government Area on Saturday.

According to Fubara, despite being in office for just one year, his administration has made significant strides in infrastructure development, outperforming Wike’s eight-year tenure. He boasted, “We started just three or four months ago, but I am proud to say that we have achieved more than those who spent eight years in office. I challenge anyone to contradict me.”

This statement comes amidst a lingering feud between Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, which began shortly after Fubara assumed office. Earlier in the week, Fubara had claimed victory over his political enemies, stating that they now live in constant fear and anxiety.

Fubara’s assertion is seen as a bold statement, as he seeks to justify his administration’s efforts and distance himself from Wike’s legacy. The political dynamics in Rivers State continue to unfold, with Fubara’s declarations sparking interest and debate among political observers.
