In a daring raid, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 14 individuals suspected of engaging in online financial fraud in Benue State. The operation, codenamed “Swift Strike,” was carried out by EFCC operatives who had been tracking the suspects’ activities for several weeks.

The suspects, whose ages range from 22 to 35, were found in possession of various devices and equipment used in perpetrating cybercrimes. Preliminary investigations revealed that they had been involved in various forms of online fraud, including romance scams, phishing, and identity theft.

The EFCC has vowed to continue its relentless pursuit of cyber fraudsters, urging the public to report any suspicious activities to the agency. The suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigations.
