Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has expressed deep concern over the recurring attacks in Plateau State, particularly the recent assault on Zurak village in Wase LGA, which resulted in the loss of approximately 40 lives and left many others injured.
In a statement on his social media platform, Obi strongly condemned the attack and emphasized the need for the government to take concrete actions to fulfill its responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of Nigerians. He stressed the importance of investing in critical areas such as education, healthcare, and poverty reduction to effectively address the root causes of insecurity.
Obi extended his condolences to the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, the state government, and the bereaved families, praying for divine comfort and speedy recovery for those affected.
