The Police Chief, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has expressed dissatisfaction over alleged corruption and brutality by some police officers.
During a meeting with top officers in Abuja, Egbetokun stressed proper oversight and adherence to ethical standards. He instructed top officers to ensure their teams maintain high ethics, particularly during official duties.
Egbetokun directed special task forces, including the Police Integrity Unit, Oversight Division, and Public Complaints Unit, to conduct regular checks on officers’ conduct.
He warned officers using his name for illicit gain, threatening severe disciplinary measures.
