A prominent industrialist, Chief John Ezeobi, has sounded the alarm over the influx of subpar electrical cables and wires into the Nigerian market, warning that this trend poses a significant threat to the growth and development of the local cable manufacturing sector.

Chief Ezeobi lamented that unscrupulous importers are flooding the market with inferior products, which not only undermine the quality standards of the industry but also jeopardize public safety and compromise the integrity of electrical installations.

He urged regulatory authorities to take decisive action to stem the tide of substandard imports, enforce strict quality control measures, and protect the interests of local manufacturers and consumers alike.
